Papers of Henry Hodges and the Fox family, including instructions for mustering in troops during the Revolutionary War; a muster roll of men from Taunton, Mass.; deeds to lands in Taunton; a letter (1852) from Harriet Beecher Stowe to L.M. Wheaton; and letters from Daniel Burt Fox, a privateer captured by a Confederate schooner, the Brilliant. Letters to Sarah, William Henry, and Sally Fox concerned his ship's privateering exploits; the blockade of the Mississippi; his imprisonment in Richmond; and the work of his father, Henry Hodges Fox.
